Making the Most of your Outdoor Living Space

As the weather warms up we find ourselves gravitating to the outdoors. So, it???s a great time to spruce up your outdoor living space and make it a more pleasing and welcoming extension of your home!
Whether your space is a small balcony, a multi-level deck, or a larger patio garden; by the addition of a few decorative elements, you can enhance your living space to be the perfect getaway to relax and unwind.
Comfortable seating is a must! There is so much out there to choose from: multi-piece sectionals, adjustable chaise lounges, aluminum or wooden benches, porch swings and hanging chairs. One tip is to make sure you measure your space to see what size furniture pieces will fit, and to consider the functionality of each piece.
Some ways to brighten up the area is by adding color and textures with cushions, accent pillows, and outdoor area rugs. Bringing in fun patterns and colors to play off of each other can enhance and personalize your space.
Of course, we must add some landscaping and greenery to your outdoor space. Adding lush plants and trees around the perimeter of the seating area will help soften the edges and make it appear larger. It will also provide some privacy from the neighbors. Smaller shrubs, container plants and flowers in colorful pots add to the beautiful aesthetics.
Other considerations may be providing shade from the sun???s rays with awnings or shade umbrellas; adding more privacy with a trellis, screens or grates, or even leafy hedges. When lighting up your space for evening ambiance, there are many styles of hanging lights, lanterns, and sconces.
Have fun creating your cozy and inviting outdoor spaces where you will enjoy spending a lazy afternoon or relaxing evening!
